McKenzie Closen is Chief Operating Officer at The Lactation Network, where she is responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day operations. McKenzie also serves as a key adviser to the CEO to help surface, evaluate and prioritize opportunities, keeping the purpose-driven company steadfast in its mission to be a transformative change agent in lactation health. McKenzie was drawn to her role by a desire to be part of a positive change in the world and to the company for its purpose, care for employees and empowerment of female leaders. She brings a unique blend of over 15 years of marketing, media, and strategy experience, which allows her to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and partners across industries and disciplines. Described as adaptable, intuitive, and level-headed, McKenzie has an innate ability to rally her team and to find solutions for any challenge. She champions the team’s passion for their mission, patients, IBCLCs and each other, ensuring they make thoughtful, informed decisions. Originally from small-town Minooka, Illinois, McKenzie lives in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. She is an Auntie to three, a budding ceramics artist, a world traveler, and a volunteer leader with Chicago Cares at the Lincoln Park Conservatory.
